List of Qualities I desire in a mate:
1. Spirituality - must love Jesus, and be a diligent pursuer of God in values, beliefs
and actions - not superficially religious either, but also serious about obeying God
and wanting to abstain from sex before marriage, also may consider some extreme
ideas such as not kissing for awhile or not focusing on physical attributes early on
in the relationship, perhaps at times throughout the relationship to keep it exciting

2. Mental - mentally stimulating in conversations whether about spiritual matters or
material matters, interested in playing video games, board games and general athletic
outdoor and indoor athletic desire such as hiking, surfing, biking, rollerblading and
many other athletic sports as they may arise - serious about keeping herself in physical,
mental, spiritual health, but not extreme like a vegetarian per-se

3. Physical - Blonde or black hair, 5 feet to 6 feet, brown, blue or green eyes, medium length
hair worn down most of the time, between 100 and 135 pounds depending on build, size 32 to 36 plus
preferrably firm, waist from 6 to 10, a voice that is soft and sultry, not too loud, interested in singing

4. This woman will be sensitive but not over the top, evenly temperatement, loves to laugh and smile
very honest, forgiving, loving, sweet, caring, generous, but also wise and understanding
will understand me and make it easy to understand her, that we would have a lot in common
perhaps our backgrounds, experiences and desires and interests completely match up
willing to wait forever to marry if that is what it takes, but spontaneous to do anything, go anywhere,
move anywhere, or even change careers on whim's notice if it's what God wants and the desire is there

5. This woman will likely stand by the values that matter to myself equally as much, such as:
not living together before marriage and not having sex before marriage, yet still be able to express
her sexuality in explainable terms, definitely a strong sense of attraction between us but equal amounts
of self control between the two of us. This woman will not push her sexuality or come on too strong, but
be able to take a step back with gentleness and self-control
6. She will accept my past, make it easy for me to be honest and up-front of the skeletons in my closet
and also be alright with distance in the relationship whether its at home or on the road, depending on the
circumstance, but she will also be willing to move slow or fast according to my pace as her pace will be similar

7. She will have a good sense of humor and make me laugh and I hopefully will also make her laugh
HOpefully we will have incredible devotional, prayer and meditative times together often
8. She will understand my lifestyle as a traveller, flight attendant, perhaps even my struggles with finance
But be able to help me to grow and I also will be able to provide growth for her as well spiritually and relationally

9. She will be incredibly gorgeous in such a way, that I could never even look at someone else and wonder if they
are even half as beautiful: the combination of her body, mind and spirit of course, not just outer looks

10. She will be interested in different cultures and will be able to trust me completely
11. She will dress fashionably and be able to be amazingly put together on occasion, but also be able to
get down and dirty if the call of duty requires it: she will like to dress her nails and put on makeup
but also look naturally beautiful
12. She will hardly ever be cranky about anything and almost always in a good mood and have a positive
attitude about life, whatever ups and downs come along. She will always be able to look at the best of life
and avoid the worst of life. She will accept me for who I am and understand my background and upbringing
in Africa, whether by time in getting to know me or additional experiences
13. She will love to dance even if she doesn't know how to, but know how to avoid bad circumstances and
not have any drinking or drug problems and no smoking.
14. She will be close to her family and live close to me
15. She may or may not be in the same job, but as I am seeking someone sensitive, she probably works with people
whether as a nurse, a flight attendant, a hospitality specialist or some other field that is related to someone who
cares greatly for others
16. She will also not be too sensitive to take a joke, have a good time or relax and just take it easy
17. Laughing will be an everyday reality for us, even about bad stuff
18. She will never rush me or push me and rarely if ever get angry about anything
19. She loves to read, write, sing, study, learn, research and keep busy with anything, but also know how
to take a break, a vacation and learn to make room for me in her life and separate from her plans and
also someone I will be able to easily combine my dreams and desires with without feeling like I'm the complete
opposite. We will both have the same desires and dreams and agree to work together or many things but also
be comfortable with the space of working opposite one another or even apart at times, not someone that has to be
around me 24/7 but also can accept that situation if life dictates that opportunity
Angel Freedom Soar

For Jamie

By Daniel

I imagine your touch

When I again kiss your lips

To touch your skin

So soft, so smooth,

To be with you, inside of you

Your body warm

And soft embrace

Are not for me my mind erase

You compass me with gentle breeze

You perfect angel freedom soul

Be still your mind of fears you dread

Find peace and joy within instead

My night’s rest in the Double Tree Hotel was amazingly relaxing, complete with spectacular dreams I can’t exactly remember. I spent nearly the entire 19 hours in my hotel room, didn’t leave for dinner or a walk anywhere. My thoughts turned to the latest acquisition of our parent company, World Air Holdings by Global Enterprises (complete name unknown). My gut feeling on this is that we’re in for some pretty awesome changes for our company. In the end there may be some shifting of some of the dynamics we’re used to, changes in aircraft, training, benefits, company name, uniforms and even coworkers. There may be some serious shifts with relation to our workforce. I’m hoping for a serious retirement offer for the senior f/a’s too old to travel, perhaps no more base reserve IAD, but possibility of combined union forces, more equalization of flight pay and flight attendants, more commercial gigs and even training in Indiannapolis, ATA’s training center as the new CEO headquarters is there. I think the possibility for flying on better planes with some hotel changes may be in order. I figure 6 months to 1 year to culminate the changes. I also figure on a medium to slow summer with such changes. I’m even half wondering if this will in any way affect my R/T in two weeks, but perhaps not immediately at least. Perhaps there will still be some training for 777’s or some such similar aircraft that was originally in the works, hard to say. I’m hoping for an increase in ISM pay, perhaps even some Supervisory opportunities that I may be privy to.

I’m still considering my options with relation to living in Europe on a temporary basis. Never a dull moment. It somewhat reminds me of the Las Vegas – Honolulu turns and my thoughts on moving there temporarily right before we lost the contract. I may have to ride out some of these changes before going too far on some major life changes that involve temporary housing in Europe – it all depends on how Airfare banking plays out. Naturally there would be hundreds of f/a’s affected by that. I may have more possibility at accomplishing it in the next several months versus the latter part of the year – the summer is definitely more of a possibility than the winter.

Today, I woke up thinking to myself that Jamie is actually respecting my space – either that or she has moved on from us. I got to thinking somewhat about my updated thoughts on the subject last night. I feel like the space should continue for several months possibly. I need to feel whether or not I can live without Jamie. If I can, then I know for certain she is not right for me. If I miss her and can’t live without her, then in the space and time, I will certainly realize it. I do have a feeling that she lacks the patience to wait too long and have a sinking feeling that if I do realize I can’t live without her, it will take long enough to realize it that she may have moved on by that point. Ultimately I hope for her happiness. I know the distrust issues have not made things very exciting and enjoyable between us for the past year. I think the space and time will give us both healing and reflection to truth.

I have to study for recurrent when I get home, but I’m considering some spontaneous trip somewhere on my time off. In addition, there could be some further trips on open time that I should consider, just to pay the bills, or perhaps I need to take a break from too much travel this month.

Trip to Rockhampton, Australia

Date: June 30, 2007

Time: 17:10

Location: PDX

I’m about to embark on a 10 day paid vacation to Rockhampton, Australia – actually it’s a business trip with World Airways, but it might as well be a paid vacation considering I’ll only be working 10 hours total this trip in ten days. It will be a long 15 to 20 hour day for me headed over to Rockhampton, but the resort-like hotel on the other side will be a welcome change from the office where I’ve spent the past month focused on business and wedding photography. My partner Hunter allowed me to borrow his HD portable camcorder to record my journey, so I’m excited to try to conduct an insider’s perspective to the lifestyle of a flight attendant, which I commonly refer to these days as the Breakfast Club, a term used to describe the fact that breakfast seems to be a top priority and deciding factor of life for the flight attendants I commonly work with.

Life’s been pretty sweet but also hectic in these final days of preparation for my trip as well as last minute details for some projects at the office in addition to the mission trip to Uganda next month, which still has some viable kinks to be worked out with.

It’s also been a tight month for me with no work coming in from my day job and a new tenant who’s consistently late on paying me rent and keeping a consistent job. From the outside it seems that he’s more concerned with watching tv and downloading music, but on the bright side, he has completed paying all his dues so far even though it’s a constant chore to keep him in line and try to steer him into consistency – its like babysitting a 34 year old who’s still a kid trying to grow up. In some ways, it kind of reminds me of myself nearly 7 years ago to date. That gives me hope for him, that some day it all could change into a brilliant transformation for him, although when I am not certain.
The Island of Bahrain

4/9/2005 5:53 PM

April is a great time to visit Bahrain. Odd to think an island comprised of 90% desert would be a comfortable oasis to visit, but there are a few things to like about it. In particular, the Hotel Novotel is a beautiful beach-side hotel with all the watersports you would want to accompany the 70-75F weather this time of year. That would include kayaking, windsurfing, jetskiing or beach volleyball. It’s Curves exercize center is sufficient for all your needs, with modern equipment and the pool is fantastic compared to the two other hotels I visited: The Sheraton Bahrain and the Diplomat Raddisson.

The location is the only possible issue, if you like to walk to everything in the area, but taxis are plentiful and inexpensive.

The Diplomat Raddisson is also close to the water and with 3 restaurants and live music in the evenings, it’s also a great place to park your evenings. The Crown Plaza next door has great nightlife with a singing band, but the F-1 Bar is a great place to taxi it to with its pool tables and live Canadian band 7 nights a week between 10 pm and 1am. Afterwards BJ’s is a great place for dancing from 1130 pm to 230 am.

Driving around the island was straightforward through the Raddison Diplomat’s World rental cars, where a jeep ran about $65/day with unlimited mileage. Gas here is about $1US per gallon, but you wouldn’t take more than 4 hours to drive around the entire island, although finding the famous tree of life in the middle of the desert is kind of a challenge, especially when all the sand and pipelines look the same, but it is an enjoyable finding once you figure the misleading street signs.

The Wildlife park for $3US includes an hour tour of middle eastern wildlife and the park is pleasant to visit and not far from the Formula 1 race track where every year around April 2-4th, a giant race with over 40,000 people occurs. The hotels in the area become quickly booked up at this point and should definitely be booked well in advance.

There are many malls with modern movie theaters, Starbucks and every other main department store you would want to shop at.

You can also venture to one of the many “Souk’s” in the area, local markets where discount merchandise of every variety abounds, especially tailor-to-fit jeans and dress shirts, cologne and a variety of local dried fruits and nuts.

Bahrain is one of the more lenient muslim countries, so don’t worry as much about covering up, except if you should decide to visit one of the many mosques in the area, where prayer is served 5 times a day and visiting hours are recommended between local prayer times.

There is a great Bahrain museum that has interesting artifacts and historical facts and figures that are well worth the inexpensive entrance fees.

Finally, diving in the gulf is definitely worth doing, if you have enough time and hire a private boat. The visibility along the shore is not the greatest but further out at sea, the diving is supposed to be fantastic and the visibility amazing.

Seattle’s Best Coffee with internet for $1/hour and leather lounges makes for a pleasant place to start your day and the cinnabon counter is right next to the coffee counter, so a good donut can be bought to go with your coffee if you like.

There are several great Indian restaurants in the area, most of them provide lunch and dinner buffets for about $5USD.

Eric David Productions

I have photographed a few concerts but my personal favorite is one of my best friends: Eric David. Here is a link to some of the photos I took from a concert in Newburg: Eric David in Newburg. In addition, word has it he's engaged to his fiance Jessica: photos of Eric and Jessica on September 22, 2007: Cannon Beach, Oregon. I'm his backup best man, so that's got to be worth something. (grin)

If you follow his link to his website up above: www.ericdavidmusic.com, you'll be able to purchase his songs online through myspace and follow his concerts. Please visit one of them, you'll be inspired. As he always told me when we were room-mates, he's not about success or money with his music, he follows a spiritual path that is Biblically based and if you listen to the lyrics and music, you'll be inspired to grow closer to God and catch on the hunger in his soul that we all share for completion in the spirit.
